Hot Topics Roundtable: Omnichannel Communication Planning: What, Why, and How?

Omnichannel communications utilize an array of channels to deliver real-time and bidirectional communication to enhance customer experiences along the customer journey.1 But how do omnichannel communication plans differ from multichannel plans? Attend this workshop to understand the difference between the two. Through a series of working group activities, you will learn the steps involved in successfully developing and deploying an omnichannel communication plan. Step 1 begins with gaining meaningful insights about your audience’s knowledge estate, such as their educational needs, knowledge base, pain points, and channel preferences for receiving information. In step 2, ground your omnichannel plan in your medical strategy by defining and prioritizing meaningful educational goals. And in step 3, partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to select the optimal tactical initiatives to address those goals. Finally, measuring success and performing ongoing iterative refinement of the plan are critical to the plan’s long-term success.
