Hot Topics Roundtable: Owning and Creating You Brand Evidence Generation Strategy

According to a recent Mckinsey report on Medical Affairs (2020), “As innovation transforms the healthcare landscape, science and data are becoming the foundation for pharma to meet its obligations to patients and customers—and realize commercial opportunities…Step forward Medical Affairs. The development of a comprehensive evidence generation strategy, driven by Medical Affairs, can be a poweful tool to anchor the scientific platform for a particular brand or product, especially as business models are evolving around and beyond the “product” or brand to encompass a broader therapeutic contex and for a broad range of stakeholders (e.g., providers, patients, payers, etc.). Participants in this workshop will gain an understanding of the importance of developing a comprehensive evidence generation strategy, be able to identify the components of building a strategy and the need to include stakeholders across their organization, and can begin to build the foundation of an evidence generation strategy. By providing a framework to think about the science ecosystem and evidence needs across their organization, we will help participants understand their knowledge gaps, identify opportunities for collaboration, and thoughtful questions to raise for the brand as they begin to build their own evidence generation strategy.
