To avoid pouring through collected information to produce irrelevant results, leaders must establish a Medical Insight Framework to define key intelligence topics, to set parameters for insight gathering and to prepare the playbook for action. When creating an Insight Framework, executives should use the following parameters to vet their insights:
• Filtered & Synthesized
• Relevant & Specific
• Answerable within agreed parameters
Also, Medical Affairs should adopt more tools and tech stacks to complement stronger Intelligence skills and processes. By vetting and filtering information through relevant educational objectives, a team’s medical strategic imperatives then can be automated and analyzed with the intent of finding insights that lead to a competitive advantage.
Participation in this workshop will allow Medical Affairs teams to create a concrete definition for an “actionable insight.”
The workshop will present steps to improve insight collection, analysis, feedback loops, and dissemination, using tools such as natural language processing and data fusion. Finally, the session will teach people the difference between a data point and an insight and how to discern an insight within the data troves being screened every day.
