Workshops:
Optimizing the Execution of Medical Strategies and Plans

The workshop will begin by reviewing the key challenges and barriers that can prevent medical plans and strategies from being effectively implemented, including internal communication, alignment, keeping it current, and maintaining global consistency. Participants will be encouraged to bring their own challenges, and as a group discuss mitigation strategies.

Measuring the success of how a plan is being implemented is crucial to enabling improvement and strategic updates. Importantly, the workshop will help attendees determine key metrics that are aligned to strategy, while being measurable and not burdensome to assess. This should include both qualitative and quantitative metrics that account for what will likely be ongoing virtual connections in the post-pandemic world.

Finally, we will discuss how to use these metrics in addition to insights garnered from the implementation of the medical plan, to inform refinement and optimization of the plan.
