Workshop: Leadership Coaching and its Relevance to Medical Affairs in the Post-Pandemic Era

To succeed in the post-pandemic era, healthcare leaders must seek to be proficient across a wide set of characteristics rather than relying solely on their areas of strengths. Three areas in particular are relevant here include the humble heroes (willing to make bold decisions and modeling robust emotional intelligence behaviors), simple and powerful communicators (empowered to set forth the mission and purpose of the company) and engagers/mobilizers (focused on growing and developing their teams to execute on this mission and purpose).

This workshop will be conducted in three sections. Speakers will introduce commonly used coaching and leadership techniques as well as a methodology to incorporate these three leadership abilities into the medical affairs environment. Next, role playing will be conducted to facilitate group learning of these techniques. Lastly, attendees will then be divided into three teams, with each team working on a case study on a real-world medical affairs challenges, and will present their findings/recommendations to the large group.
